ORIY has plenty to catch your attention from the outside, but some of what makes her most interesting is discovered once you step aboard.
At 50 metres, she accommodates 12 guests with an equally sized crew of 12. Across her decks are two separate salons, six guest cabins, a dedicated wellness area and two jacuzzis – but the numbers and features only tell part of the story.
Look a little closer and ORIY’s Croatian roots begin to show. Built in Croatia, that local connection continues throughout her interior, from Croatian-made furniture to original artwork. It is these smaller details, alongside the way her spaces have been designed for life on board, that give ORIY a character of her own.
As her first Mediterranean season is getting closer to an end, we stepped aboard and brought you a closer look.
A CROATIAN STORY, INSIDE AND OUT
ORIY may have been designed to cruise far beyond the Adriatic, but when you step inside, her Croatian roots are never far away.
Almost the entire interior and its furniture were made in Croatia, bringing local craftsmanship into the yacht well beyond the build itself. There are just two notable exceptions: the sofas in her two salons. The main salon features a Gallotti & Radice sofa, while upstairs, the upper salon is furnished with Minotti.
Art plays an equally important role. Paintings are found all throughout the yacht, with the works created and signed by Croatian artist Mirna Sisul. They bring another layer of Croatian creativity on board and make the interiors feel more personal than spaces simply designed around furniture and finishes.
It is a detail guests may not know before stepping aboard, but one that tells a much bigger story about ORIY.
TWO SALONS, AND A BAR UPSTAIRS
Having one beautiful salon is expected on a yacht of this size. ORIY has two.
Her main salon provides the primary indoor gathering space, while the upper deck has an entirely separate salon, complete with a bar.
The second salon changes how guests can use the interior. With 12 people on board, everyone does not need to gather in the same place at the same time. One group might stay downstairs while another heads upstairs for a drink, or the upper salon can become the natural meeting point before dinner.
It is a simple distinction on a deck plan, but one that becomes much more valuable over the course of a charter.
SIX CABINS, INCLUDING TWO MASTERS
ORIY welcomes 12 guests across six cabins, with an arrangement that is particularly interesting for groups travelling together: two Master suites ( Main Deck Master suite & Below Deck master suite ) and four double cabins( two convertable). Having two Masters gives the accommodation a different dynamic, particularly for two families or couples travelling together who would both appreciate a larger cabin.
And there are small details here too.
Both Master cabins are equipped with their own Dyson hair styling tools – perhaps not the first feature to appear on a yacht specification sheet, but exactly the kind of thing guests appreciate once they are actually living on board.
Because sometimes luxury is less about adding another big feature and more about already having what you were hoping someone remembered.
12 GUESTS, 12 CREW
The numbers happen to match.
ORIY accommodates 12 guests and carries a crew of 12, creating a one-to-one guest-to-crew ratio.
For guests, much of what that means happens quietly in the background. Different breakfast times, drinks appearing on deck, water toys being prepared, dinner plans changing or a tender being ready to head ashore – there are a lot of moving parts behind an easy day on board. The yacht provides the spaces. The crew makes them work.
ROOM FOR WELLNESS, TOO
Away from the main social spaces, ORIY has a dedicated gym with a sauna and shower located alongside it.
It gives wellness its own place on board, whether guests want to start the morning with a workout, use the sauna after an active day or simply take an hour for themselves. With a massage therapist also part of the crew, there is always the option to add a massage into the day – whenever the mood calls for it.
And when the workout is over, the sea is never particularly far away.
OUTSIDE, THE JACUZZI TAKES OVER
The jacuzzi might be a favourite spot on board – although on ORIY, you’ll have to choose between two.
One is found on the sun deck, with open views across the water, while the other sits at the stern, closer to the sea and the swimming platform. Whether it’s a few hours in the sun or somewhere to settle after a swim, both tend to become an easy part of the day on board.
MORE THAN THE SPECIFICATION
On paper, ORIY is a 50-metre yacht for 12 guests, with six cabins, two salons, a gym, sauna and jacuzzi.
Spend a little more time looking around, however, and the smaller details begin to say more.
The second Master cabin. The bar tucked into the upper salon. Croatian-made furniture. Original artwork on the walls. A Dyson waiting for each Master. A crew of 12 looking after 12 guests.
Individually, they are details. Together, they give ORIY her character.
And while her first season began close to where she was built, her story is already moving further afield.
This winter, ORIY begins her first Caribbean season – taking a distinctly Croatian yacht into completely new waters.
